3 Things That Will Keep Your Marriage Knit Together Always
Every marriage has its own challenges which, no matter how little, must not be 'comonised' but handled discreetly.
"Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established." Proverbs 24:3.
And also, Proverbs 14:1, "Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands."
1. Understanding
2. Fear
3. Love
A. Hebrews 13:4, “Marriage is honourable
in all…”
* No extra marital affairs: No
infidelity!
Proverbs ^:23-26, 32,33
& 1 Cornthians 7:2,3.
No extramarital affairs: No
Infidelity: this is the will of God for your Marriage.
B. Luke 16:18, “Whosoever putteth away
his wife…”
* No separation nor divorce!
1 Corinthians 7:10,11.
Mark 10:1-12, Malachi 2:16a.
So, here is the will of God for your
marriage: There should be no separation nor divorce!
C. 1 Corinthians 7:3,4,5, “Let the
husband render…”
* No unnecessary abstinence in intimate
relationship between spouses!
D. Malachi 2:14-16, “Yet ye say,
wherefore…”
* No deceit nor wickedness against your
spouse!
E. Mark 10:7,8, “For this cause
shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they
twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.”
* There must be leaving all others and
cleaving to your spouse: That is Oneness!
F.
Matthew
19: 5,6, “And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother,
and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore
they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together,
let not man put asunder.”
* God wants Monogamy!
i.
A
Man, not two nor more.
ii.
His
Wife, not wives.
iii.
They
Twain: twain repeated twice in the passage, not more, shall become one flesh (it
is a spiritual mystery through God) till death parts you both!
God’s will, in marriage, is for a man and his wife, not men and
their wife nor a man and his wives: God wants Monogamy!
“Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart
shall fall into mischief.” Proverbs 28:14.
The term ‘Fear’ being used in this context is synonymous to the term ‘Reverence’.
Happy/Blessed is the man/woman/person that reverences always: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.
You need to understand that the term ‘fear’ being used here is not the same
as the previous – reverential fear, but tormenting, deadening and destructive
fear. This should not be.
