LAY OFF THE CAUSE OF REUBEN’S FAILURE!
SEVEN REAL PATHS TO TRUE WEALTH (Chapter Six)
(Sixth Real Path to True Wealth)
Genesis 49:3, 4, “Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power
Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel…”
Uuh, that is serious!! “Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel.” With all those preceding attributes given concerning him by his father, Jacob, still he was not going to excel!!

Instability, be it in personal or private matters, collective or public endeavours, is a terrible problem! When a man lacks focus, anything and many things will distract him from achieving his purpose.
A man without the needed focus nor determination may only keep jumping from an idea to another, laboring here and there, struggling to achieve but never able to attain true wealth, because his ways are unsavourily scattered.
Be known for something and know that thing so well!
Instability is a major challenge on the path to good success and true wealth!
You were not born to do everything: stick to something good and do it excellently: “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might!”
Instability has ruined many destinies and will still ruin more, but it is your own responsibility to guard against it.
Proverbs 24:21, 22 reads, “My son, fear thou the LORD and the king; and meddle not with them that are given to change.
For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?”
So,
Make a choice of what to engage in based on thorough knowledge,
Stick to that choice,
Improve on that choice,
Establish that choice, and,
Earn from that choice.
Avoid the cause of Reuben’s failure: lay off Instability. Be known for a purpose at a time and pursue it excellently.
Proverbs 4:24-27,
“Put away from thee a forward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee”: Stay away from distracters!
“Let thine eyes look right on and let thine eyelids look straight before thee”: Stay focused in your pursuit!
“Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established”: Be thoughtful enough before you take a step and when you take it take it family!
“Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil”: Do not be unstable, and be reliable!
Here is an indispensable path to true wealth, “Laying off the cause of Reuben’s failure: Laying off INSTABILITY!”
